Even though it says gen 3 only it’s the same as one on my gen 2! If you got the stock all the way back it’ll be almost half inch short on the gen 3!
The tube dramatically increases the comfort of a cheek weld and it looks good. The serial number cutout is in the right spot. Unfortunately, the tube is just not the right length for a Gen3 S2000. The package indicates the part is 5.5 inches and that agrees with my tape measure. Unfortunately, that leaves about a 1/2 inch exposed on the rifle's buffer tube. None of the pictures of the Gen3 tube show this gap so it's a bit disappointing in that regard.
Mine fits perfectly. These Gen 3 M-Carbo tube covers are just a piece of rubber tubing with openings stamped in them for the charging handle and serial number. And the name M-Carbo is laser engraved (or otherwise engraved) on the side. It does not have the cutting lines on it like the Gen 2 type. The length is just right with the adjustable stock all the way back. If you need the stock closer, you will have to cut it and use the included two-sided tape, since cutting it will open the charging handle slide opening to the end of the cover. But uncut, the tape is not needed.
