The extended bolt stop is very easy to install and is a great improvement over the factory bolt stop. It is now so much easier and comfortable to engage the bolt stop, making it a must have upgrade for your Ruger PC Carbine!

If you have ever had a Ruger 10/22, then you understand the awkwardness of the bolt release, which is the same they used for the PC Carbine and PC Charger. I installed this on my PC Charger. Note: No real need to remove the barrel and/or lock the bolt back. As a matter of fact I advise against locking the bolt back. The Charger requires the undoing of 3 (not 2 like the Carbine) hex bolts, but the trigger group is easily removed via the 2 crosspins. Then, with a small punch (I used my Glock disassembly tool) you simply push the bolt lock retaining pin in just enough to allow the bolt lock and its spring to slide out the bottom, no further! Remove the stock lock and spring, reinsert the spring in its channel, insert new bolt lock, pushing its pin lip retaining edge past the crosspin you already depressed. Hold it there while you press that pin back in from the opposite side, enough that the ne lock catches on on it and cannot slide out. Reassemble trigger group into the chassis, reinstall all 3 locking bolts. Done! If it take you more than 10 minutes, you're doing it wrong. :-)
This is a great product! Easy to install, and like all the products I’ve purchased from mcarbo It fits perfectly. In addition, my wife shoots left handed, and this product makes it easy for her to find. This is a great safety item for you to install.
Watched the install video a couple times (Ruger PC Carbine All In One Pro Performance Bundle video ) which covered this item, although the Performance Bundle is no longer available. A video is not available just covering this item. Very easy install, just take it slow and use care not to lose the little spring associated with the assembly. This works great and is much easier to manipulate than the thin little OEM part. Very happy camper!
Took less time to install than to take down. Super easy and extremely better than the stock one. Doesn’t interfere will pulling trigger AB’s feels very durable. Excellent upgrade
the Ruger PC Carbine Extended Bolt Stop is a great product which, after you view the installation video, is easy to install. Just mind that little spring! The wide pressure surface allows easy access from both sides for locking the bolt back... One thing I noticed , after just receiving a foot of snow and having to wear gloves, is that it also makes engagement with padded gloves MUCH easier than the thin original plate.
Went online looking for parts my PC Charger. I ordered the Ruger PC Carbine Extended Bolt Stop. Watched an install video from a different parts company (T*****K****) Easy install. Much easier engaging the bolt stop now.
This is an awesome piece with high quality. Installation was a piece of cake with the help of the step by step video provided by MCarbo. Big up to you guys you all definitely know what you’re doing.
