I ordered and received the aluminum insert for the PMR30 Kel Tec pistol. I had no problems installing the piece in my pistol. Just looking at the pistol, you can’t tell it has anything changed on or in it. Easy install
I am not entirely sure how truly useful this product is, but it does add some heft to the toy-like PMR. It does appear to add some rigidity to the frame around the trigger where it's needed, but it is still possible to over-tighten the frame screws to the point that the trigger does not reset. All and all I say get it for the price. (Please note that when putting the clam-shell frame back together it may appear that the aluminum block is not fitting, or causing the pieces to not come together. Be patient, and ensure the pins by the mag release lever are in place first, then slowly tighten all the frame screws. It will come together.)
I bought this stiffner insert to help reduce flex in the frame. I can't tell if that's happening but the insert fit perfectly. Installation involved splitting the frame, a process i have done several times previously. Overall! A nice accessory.
Polymer split frame so why not add some rigidity to it, can never go wrong with that.
Purchase this along with other mods for my pmr30. Has a perfect fit location for this item. Not sure if there are any noticeable advantages besides adding a slight more weight to curb recoil
This chassis stiffener fits perfectly. The installation video was very helpful in disassembling and reassembling the pistol.
I need to take the pistol to my local gumsmith for a professional install.
