Easy fix I was looking for

How do I justify gunsmithing fees to fix a trigger on a rifle I paid less than $200 for? I simply wouldn’t, and I would accept this trigger as heavy, cruddy, and the rifle would hold a neglected place in the back of my safe for eternity. Enter this handy MCARBO spring. Easy to install (thanks to their YouTube vid), and the rifle is born anew. I don’t use a trigger pull weight gauge, but subjectively it feels like half the weight it used to be. The “breaking wall” characteristics didn’t change much, but the lighter weight acts like a more finely tuned instrument to allow the subtle nuances of the break to shine through. It used to be a brute force operation to get it to break, and now I’m able to feel more precisely when the hammer will fall. So far, safety still works and everything functions as normal. If you have one of these rifles, this is the cheapest and most effective mod on a trigger I’ve ever experienced, and I endorse the results.

This is exactly what I needed for my model 883. Along with a polish my trigger is nice and smooth and down to a 2.25lb pull. My thoughts on pen spring "trick" is: If you have a 50cent gun then put a 50cent trigger in it. Really y'all? A bic pen spring in a gun?! What you thinking?

I received the 917V trigger spring kit with no damage. I installed the spring in my rifle this morning without any problem. Trigger pull was reduced from 4.0 lbs to 2.1 lbs. What a fantastic reduction in trigger pull.

This is the 3rd M*Carbo trigger spring kit I have installed in my rifles, all of which have had great results.

Thanks for a fantastic product !!

Just put the Mc carbo trigger spring in my Marlin 17V, at the same time smoothed up bearing surfaces. Like anew gun, shoot 1/2 inch all day (without having to soak my trigger finger after)! Very nice.

Good Product and Good Value

Installation took about 20 minutes because I had to let a screw soak up WD40 for a few minutes to loosen it. My guess is that the trigger pull is about half as much now. It's enough to be safe for hunting, and it's decent for target shooting. In any event, it's way better than the original spring on my 25n.

great improvement

I bought two. I’ve only installed one in my 925. But, it probably cut the trigger pull in half. I’ve got a worn out and abused gun that I bought from a pawn shop to be my truck/trunk gun. It just happened to be the best shooting .22 I own. So, I figured I’d love on it a little. I now have a beat up squirrel gun that outshoots my nice 10/22. The trigger is literally perfect now. About 2.5lbs. No complaints at all.

Great part, great service, great result

Completely satisfied with MCARBO. I ordered the trigger spring for the Marlin 917 and immediately got an order confirmation email followed by a shipment confirmation. The spring arrived a couple days later and only took a few minutes to install. The trigger is much lighter than it was from the factory. Hard to beat for $10!

The Mcarbo trigger spring kit reduced the trigger pull two pounds. The original pull weight was 5-1/4 lbs. The trigger pull was 3-1/4 lbs after installing the Marlin 917/925 Mcarbo trigger spring in a Marlin 882L 17HMR. It took only a couple minutes to change the springs out.
