Mag changes are now a 'no-brainer'. Big enough to be easily manipulated, small enough to keep from accidentally hitting.

Funny how the smallest of enhancements can make a mag change a no brainer. As I've said in my other reviews less time or thought on simple functions really make the PC Carbine shine...

A very good release

If you are overwhelmed by all the aftermarket mods you can do to a PC carbine and don’t know where to start, I’d recommend this magazine release first! It takes about 30 seconds to install and there is a huge improvement in consistently and quickly changing mags without looking at the firearm.

A world of difference

Recently made many upgrades to my PC Carbine. Muzzle break (mini), flat trigger, charging handle, ect...

All great improvements.

But I must say the extended mag release is probably my favorite.

I found myself having to push the original beyond flush to release the mag....but no more.

Easier to find. Easier to use... faster and more effortless.

Thank you MCARBO for great products, fast shipping, and professional service.

Installation was very straight forward but on initial activation there was a bit of binding. Removed button and re-installed and everything functioned properly. Visited the range after and releases were much easier as you could not only find the button quickly, but did not have to push button into stock.

In regard to the sticking, I would imagine that it has to do with the amount of tightening. I am also using the SR mag well.

The only thing I think that would make the installation better would be the addition of an allen wrench so I didn't have to get up and walk over to my tool box lol ;) Still a 5 star in my book.

As advertised

It took all of 2 minutes to replace the stock magazine release with this release. I won't be going into any competitions but this release being raised more will make mag releases much easier.

Bigger is better

I have the Magpul Backpacker. It doesn't work with this gun. Please add that to the description.

I received this item yesterday and installed it promptly. A review that I read mentioned that it did not work at first but then after seating it, it did.

I, first with a quick chango presto with the same result but then taking time I put the release button in, pressed it, seated it, and then while fully depressed I screwed it in.

After testing by inserting and releasing a magazine several times it seems perfect.

Next step is to go to the range and try it out in real time.

The bottom line is that it is physically and noticeably there by touch and it does not feel like you have to press it into the body of the carbine to release the mag.

Easy install, my stuck button fix

Just a shout out about shipping. Two orders, both delivered days prior to the estimated date.

Easy install, just FYI (and added comment to the video) Looks like the Chassis versions of the PCC Carbine (1912X) are using a 2mm allen instead of a 1.5 (1/16).

I noticed that some of the reviews mention that after install, the button would stick.

After the install mine did also.

I think the button may have been cocked when I installed it.

I backed out the screw just enough to see the button "float"

Then jiggled the button until it set correctly.

Tightened the screw and it worked with out sticking.

Thanks MCARBO!

I was having some issues with the stock magazine release button,

During a cold weather match (30 degrees) I had to wear gloves and was fumbling around with location of the release button.

This was the first of many upgrades for the PCR9.

After installing the new extended release button I went out to the range today.

It was 28 degrees! I had no problems at all find the release with gloved hand and without looking.

Easy upgrade well worth it

Very easy upgrade that makes a big difference, especially with gloves on. Raises the release enough but not so much that I hit it by accident like other options out there.
