Much easier to find than stock release.
The quick release for the magazine on my Ruger PC Carbine is the 2nd product I ordered from M*Carbo and my opinion is the same as it was for the Muzzle break. Thank you for a superior product that lives up to your claim as it makes the release of the magazine so much easier.
As always a superior product, in the process of replacing all the items available by Mcarbo for my Ruger Carbine!!!

It's a nice looking part but I ended up putting the original magazine release back on after one range session. I think a much stronger spring should be included with the extended magazine release. Multiple times the magazine fell out while shooting. I put the original back in and zero issues.
On the advise of a fellow shooter and owner of a Ruger pc I installed this extended magazine release on my gun. Quite the difference during competition making your magazine change and not having to search for the button as it comes up to meet your finger and has a solid release of the magazine to go with it.
Nothing fancy about this mag release button, it just does exactly what it is supposed to do and that is to make it easy to find, to depress and to releases the magazine of the Ruger PC Carbine (Chassis model). There are no sharp spots on it but it does have a nicely textured spot on top to give some purchase and it is slightly rounded at the edges to keep from it snagging. The button is made from milled aluminum (unlike the stock plastic item) and seems to be easier to press to it's point of release of the mag than the original. Works great and I like it.
I definitely really like this product. However it won't work on my specific Ruger PC Carbine; I'll explain why. If you have the Ruger PC Carbine with the "Magpul Backpacker Stock", which mine came equipped with from the factory. It does not have the Allen head screw on the face on the Magazine Release. It looks as though the Backpacker Stock has a proprietary built in magazine release. A friend of mine ended up installing this part that I bought and gave me the money. Again I really like the part... Just taking one star away for it not sating in the description that it doesn't work with the Backpacker Stock.
