This kit was super easy to install and came with everything needed. It has made a huge difference in my trigger. The YouTube video on how to install it by Mcarbo was super helpful.
Ok, this trigger kit works as advertised. We completed the install on my brother in laws Mosin and what an improvement. The side to side play was greatly reduced and the pull feels like a new trigger on a modern rifle. I can't wait to get mine done. Thanks guys.
A few years ago I bought 2 hex receivered 91/30's, a 1925 & 1928, made at Tula. When I got them home, I took them apart, carefully squared up a few points and did a full polish job on them. The triggers never really had alot of side to side play, but obviously had a lot of take up. I found this kit and knew I needed it. Initial pull on the '28 was 6.6 lbs. I took the rifle apart, repolished and installed all the parts. 1st pull was over 7lbs. I took 15 more pulls and they ranged from 6.10 - 8 lbs, ending up with an average of 7.3. After several fits of swearing and disassembly & reassembly, all I left in were the firing pin spring & trigger return spring. The final average is 5.04 lbs. I can live with a 1.02 lb reduction. I would rate 4.5 ?, but half ?'s arent available. I have not done the '25 yet, but if I do, I'll post how that one works out.

I first watched the tutorial, found it easy to follow and thought I would give it a shot. The trigger kit arrived in less than a week and that was over Labor Day weekend, YAY! Haven’t had time to do the change out yet but will do a follow up review when that’s done. I found the M*CARBO site to be full of interesting and informative articles and did a lot of reading while browsing around. Pretty happy with things so far
I have purchased 3 of the trigger kits for Mosins I have worked on. The firing pin springs are exceptionally strong, and the return spring does an excellent job of tightening up operation. The trigger shims Aren’t always applicable or needed if you have a decent gun.

If you own a Mosin Nagant 91/30, this trigger spring kit is a must have upgrade. The kit includes all you need and I had fun installing it following Chris Nelson's video but they also have an installation instruction that you can print and is super easy to follow. I am happy to have bought and installed this kit that I now bring my Mosin Nagant every time I visit the range to shoot and my buddies love shooting it as well.
Purchased 2 of the kits and installed them in 2 Mosin's I have had for several yrs. Bought in the 90's for less than $200 for both with battle packs & bayonets, never had much use so thought I would try the kits and see if it was worth the trouble, I went to a little more trouble and stoned the sear services as they were incredibly rough surfaced, did ultra sonic clean of all parts, and lubricated with break free (CLP) Anyway to begin the trigger pull on one was 7 lbs. 11 oz.. After install came down to 4 lbs. 3ozs. The other started at 5 lbs. 11 oz. after install it pulled at 3 lbs. 4 oz.. I attribute most of the reduction to resurfacing the sear engagement subfaces, the shims were helpful in reducing the creep and giving a crystal break. The firing pin spring was in need of replacement anyway so not sure how much improvement if any can be credited to that, however over all the spring kit just by shimming the trigger side play and the return spring make it well worth the installation. I am a gunsmith and usually don't recommend spring changes from anyone other that Wolf or the manufacturer however it has been to my experience after having evaluated several of the kits from M*Carbo which I have installed for several of my customers they appear to be of good quality and usually do come up to the advertised expectations, Thank you M*Carbo there are so many 3rd party rip offs out there it's good to see someone who doe's provide quality after market accessories.
I have to Mosin Nagants, both original with all matching S/N#'s, so I was a little apprehensive about modifying their originality, however the trigger's on both were terrible so I decided to try one of your kit's. The result was just short of miraculous. After shimming the sear, polishing the sear and bold and shimming the side play in the trigger which took .0032 in shims the result was a shorter take up crystal break and a reduction from 7 lbs. 14 oz. before to a 5 pull average of 3 lbs. 4.5 oz as measured with a Lyman digital trigger pull scale. I did file a slight groove in the top left corner of the trigger fork which now retains the trigger spring without it moving around as reported in some of your reviews,. All in all it is a terrific improvement and I thank you guy's one more time for your excellent research in providing some of the less than main stream products unavailable to the public previously.
The pull of my trigger is now very smooth and the trigger is not loose and sloppy like it was. I am very satisfied
Excellent product. Very good instructions. While my trigger pull weight was not reduced, the trigger works much smoother thanks to the polishing, return spring, and main spring. Highly recommended.
I followed the online u tube video and was able to install the trigger kit without and problem. Not as fast, but it worked out OK. I did not achieve a significant decrease in trigger pull weight as seen in the video, but some and that is good. I particularly like the trigger return spring. That makes a big difference. Good product. DIY gunsmithing makes the firearm more personal.
