This made a huge difference in my trigger.
Perhaps the easiest trigger modification I've ever seen. Installation video is wonderful. Made a huge difference to my old, reliable, "sporterized" SKS. I love it even more now.
Got my new spring kit, installed it in no time at all. The trigger pull is exactly what I wanted. I also have a new mag release I installed on this rifle that I can slide my finger from the trigger to the release tab. It was difficult to pull the mag release right in front of the trigger and this spring made all the difference in the world. Easy mag release and a better trigger pull. Whats not to love.
Wow what a difference in trigger. Came with 2 springs 3 1/2 and a 2 1/2 lb. I had a 5 lb prior and installed the 2 1/2 and it dropped it to 3 lb. installed the shims as well and that took out most of the side to side. Awesome set up now.
The SKS trigger job is a great upgrade for the rifle. It dramatically decreases the trigger pull thereby making the rifle more accurate and easier to shoot. Very easy to install! Thank you MCarbo!
Worth every penny for this upgrade. I went with the 2.5Lb spring to and it's amazing. Huge difference from the stock spring.
Followed instructions from MCARBO on YouTube and installation was as easy as 1-2-3. Great product highly recommended.

Huge difference. A lot lighter and crisper trigger pull
For $20 this took my sks trigger pull from 7lbs down to 4lbs. Almost 50% reductio Ln in weight. Still not the best, but WAY better than it was. Trigger was a D- now it's a solid B. Only thing that would make it an A is if the length of pull was gone and the weight was lightened even more. And since the trigger pull is lowered because of the lighter mag latch spring, mag changes are also easier! I can empty and load new mags with significantly less hassle. I can't wait to take my gun to a competition. This upgrade is a no brainer. If you haven't got it, you need to. If only mcarbo had a way to shorten the trigger pull :(
Installed the 2.5 pound sear spring on a ChiCom SKS, and while I was at it, I polished the sides of the sear with the 1000 grit paper I got from M Carbo. Man what a difference. The trigger pull went from a gritty 15 pounds (estimated) to a smooth 4-5 pounds (again estimated).
Got my SKS before the Clinton gun ban and Brady bill. Was almost impossible to get any replacement parts or up-grades back then. I have been living with a bad trigger or a long time. Nice! $15 and 10 minutes reduced my heavy Chinese SKS trigger pull from 6.5lbs to an average 4.5lbs. I could probably get it lower with some polishing but I’m happy with it for now. Great product!! Highly recommend.
I was admittedly dubious but it does indeed half the trigger pull. I would now compare my SKS trigger to an Arsenal two stage AK trigger. My only concern is it loosens spring pressure on the mag retainer, but that's due to the design of the SKS, not the spring quality.
I had the old spring out and the new one in in five minutes. I could tell a difference in the trigger pull. I wish Mcarbo sold the hammer spring as well.
