Added this spring to my SCCY CPX-2 and it has been a great upgrade to the firearm!
This is about as simple to install as it gets. It looks great, not that anyone will be seeing it other than myself. It seems to work as advertised. I was a little concerned about feed with a stronger spring but there was no difference that I could detect.
Easy switch , it made a big difference in my CPX-2
Got the part we ordered fast. Quality is good. Customer service is good. You can't beat it
This is the second time I installed this product. It does exactly what it is supposed to do. Never had a bad product from this company.
The quality of this product was beyond excellent and overall improvment of Sccy CPX-1 9mm. It made it a fun gun range gun to shoot with. The friendly staff treat you like family. Plus added bonus after sale making sure you got the product and are happy.
Had a customer come in with a bent recoil guide. Upgraded him to the stainless one offered here. Easy to install and gave the gun that little extra.
Installed new recoil spring but have yet to go to the range. One can feel the difference when racking the slide and if it’s like the trigger springs, it should work flawlessly and as good as stated.
Installed this captured assembly into my CPX-2 and was a perfect drop in with no problems. Looks like its the same diameter as the stock recoil and does not feel heavier when racking. Tested with 250 rounds of Modern Munitions 124 Grain reloads. No FTF or FTE. Did experience a few failure to fire but it appears to be a cheap ammo issue or possibly a need to inspect the firing pin action.
SCCY CPX1. The most expensive " cheap gun " that you will ever own. I was one of the people unfortunate enough to get one of the CPX pistols that the hammer would just hang in the rearward position while the trigger was pulled to the rear stop. I sent the gun back to SCCY for repair. And they sent it back to me even worse that it was originally. Fortunately, MCARBO was here to save the day! I replaced the SCCY factory WET NOODLE recoil spring with the MCARBO EXTRA POWER recoil spring. So I no longer need to slap the back of the slide after every round to get it into battery. I replaced the plastic trigger with an MCARBO aluminum FLAT TRIGGER, so now I can get my finger lower to reduce the pulling force. And an aftermarket hammer to stop the hangup. I was able to go through 50 Armscore hard primer rounds. And another 50 rounds of various ammo brands, without problems.
Solid Recoil Spring and Guide Rod kit. Just a drop in part. Worked well with the SCCY CPX-2 Trigger Spring Kit.
Upgraded my CPX2 with the spring kit and now added the guide rod and spring assembly. This has made the gun easier and more fun to shoot. I have heard some say this is not a range gun, but the recoil has become substantially less since the upgrades. I can shoot it as long as I want without any hand fatigue, and I’m 64 years old. This is the second gun I’ve upgraded with their parts and MCARBO never disappoints, in service or upgrades!
Several things went into refining this firearm. I did the recoil spring first and also added a better tack-on grip. Those two things together made a big difference in the accuracy of the pistol. I did a little work on my own, without an aftermarket trigger spring that also helped with the rate of pull. I don't have a gauge, but ultimately the pull was reduced. I just installed the new trigger (also from this company) will review that when I get a chance to test it on the range.
Very easy to install. It fits perfectly, and is much better quality. It seems to have fixed the problem with the slide.
Spring was just slightly too short, would pretty much just drop in. The length of the spring resulted in pistol not having as positive lockup as the factory spring. Spring was too stiff which resulted in about 25% failure to eject using same ammo that is 100% reliable with the factory spring. I was advised by the manufacturer in response to my complaint "Usually putting a few hundred rounds through it will help the spring." The rate of failure to eject takes all the enjoyment out of an otherwise 100% firearm. I don't see myself burning through "a few hundred rounds " to break it in.
I finished off my upgrade with the guide rod. I started with the spring kit. Mcarbo was excellent from start to finish. They made sure everything got to me and I was satisfied with it. They really take care of you. Thanks for your service and your help.
