1st time out after installing both kits (10Lbs Trigger spring), failed to fire 5 rounds, then rechambered one round, it fired. Changed to the 12Lbs trigger spring. Fired every time.

Very nice trigger now.

This trigger kit was a wonderful upgrade to my pistol. It made a huge difference in the trigger pull and feel of my gun. It installed very easily and performed flawlessly. The install videos were helpful. This is a quality product from a quality company.

Made time yesterday to test the spring kit for my lcp max. The results were great, much better groupings. I am using the 12 lb hammer spring and the other guys red trigger (like the look). Have made other upgrades to this gun which make a big difference in its operation. I will be testing the 10 lb spring in the future, may like that one even better. I was more disappointed in the factory mags, springs worked great.

The installation video was perfect, and I love the trigger; it is much better than the Galloway Sigurd that I replaced. The reset is excellent.

The stock trigger pull averages 6.9 lbs. I installed the 12 lb first, averaging 4.8 lbs. Then installed the 10 lb and averaged 3.97 lbs on the Wheeler gauge and 3.26 lbs on a Lyman gauge.

The range report today on the upgrades is they worked flawlessly. There was a mixture of my reloads 95-grain round nose lead and Speer Gold Dot 90-grain factory HP ammo.

The Max liked all the ammo and the best part was the greatly improved Mcarbo trigger reset. Follow-up shots were so much easier to keep on target, and the accuracy from 15 yards made me look like I knew what I was doing!

Thanks for making the Max a much better-feeling gun to shoot.

Had done the cz po-7 trigger kit successfully, was thinking that the lcp max would be harder because of its small size. No worries, excellent mcarbo video tutorial. Also installed the mcarbo short reset flat trigger and stainless steel guide rod. Installation went fairly easy, used the 10# hammer spring. Trigger pull reduced from 4# 3 oz to 2# 3 oz on my digital trigger gauge. Going to range test it tomorrow to see if I want to install the 12# hammer spring. PS: the annoying loud trigger clicking noise os gone.

This takes some time to mix and match springs and get the best performance from your gun…. I started with the new trigger return, firing pin and 10lb hammer springs. Had issues with light primer strikes and with the trigger safety engaging when attempting to fire. Changed to 12lb hammer spring to address light primer strikes, and reinstalled the factory trigger return spring to address the trigger safety issue. Am very happy with results. Cycled 100 rounds through with absolutely no issues today. Very happy with the reduced trigger pull. Helps me stay on target.

Combined with the MCARBO Flat FacedTrigger, these springs are the frosting on the cake. I used the 12 lb hammer spring and set the take-up and reset where I wanted. It is a different pistol, from pretty decent to outstanding. Travel is smooth with a crisp break and short reset. Taken all together MCARBO's LCP Max upgrades take a very good pocket pistol to a whole new level. Their installation videos are VERY good and make the installation quick and easy.

Installed 12lb trigger spring. Left stock firing pin spring in. Greatly redudced trigger pull, but completley failed to fire anything I tried. If you depend on the ruger max to protect yourself, do not install this garbage.

Light Strikes and Broke Hammer Spring Cap

Instructions were great for this product but be very careful removing the hammer spring cap. If you push the retainer tab in too far it will snap off. Fortunately Ruger sells replacements for $4. I tested both the 10lb and 12lb hammer springs. In my gun 10lb and 12lb springs reduced the TP from 7.5lb to 4.5 and 5.5lb respectively. However the 10lb spring could not be used even with Federal primers due to light strikes (about 1 in 10 to 20 rounds). I got light strikes with reloads with federal primers and also with factory Remington, Winchester, Federal and Cor Bon ammo.

lightened the trigger pull

So spring kit definitely lightened the trigger pull by a couple of pounds. I originally put the 10Lbs hammer spring in, but experience a lot of light primer strikes. Switched to the 12lbs springs and the gun has no issues.

I installed this spring kit along with the trigger and could not be happier with the results. now i have a great 3.5 pound trigger that is much easier to shoot. This tightened up my groups and gives me the confidence i need to have in a carry gun.
