I don't know why I waited so long to do this. Mostly afraid of it no longer being safe to carry after the modifications needed. Got this trigger kit, the spring kit and the titanium firing pin. And while it still can't reliably strike harder/deeper primers (Turkish ammo, steel cased, etc) it seems to be perfectly safe. I can't force the firing pin to fly forward in any tested scenario without pulling the trigger.

The trigger take-up is still fairly long (it needs to be as that is the only real safety in this firearm). The break is almost right at the wall, just a tiny bit after, but more than adequate for my needs. The break with all the new springs/pin/trigger is about 3.25lbs which is excellent. My accuracy went from 2.5" double-tap groups at 15yds to .5" groups. Also added a hogue grip to improve my consistent hand grip on this teeny tiny gun. Everyone should do this upgrade. The only hesitancy I'd have is the striker sleeve being plastic. I mangled mine pretty bad with just one removal of it. I hope MCARBO follows through on their after-market striker sleeve like they've promised.

Get it, test it so you feel safe, carry every day and enjoy training at the range with it again. I used to dread practicing with my P365XL due to its piss poor trigger. Now it is a joy. Thanks MCARBO, now give us the striker sleeve upgrade!

A must have

The stock p365 trigger gave a plastic scratchy feel for me. This upgrade is awesome. Very smooth solid feel. If you want a clean crisp trigger pull for p365 this trigger is a must have. I did not find it to be difficult to install either. Mcarbo has excellent video tutorials.

I liked the P365, but it was not great to shoot due to their angled flat trigger design. The Mcarbo flat trigger made me love the P365. Smoother and much more enjoyable to shoot; feels solid.

A pain to install but worth it!

So, I had no experience with installing a trigger when I went into this. I watched the video they sent 2-3 times before attempting. I took my time and things were going well until I reached the reinstallation of the takedown lever. I’m guessing it was due to tolerances from the factory but though the video made it look simple, no matter how I tried it it would not fit flush. I tried for hours. Watched that part of the video countless more times thinking I’d missed something. To no avail. I started scouting the internet for other videos and finally found one demonstrating an alternate way to do it due to this very reason. It involved only partially assembling the alternate side and holding everything more or less in place while you insert the take down lever. And then and only then fitting things together flush. After that it was fairly smooth sailing. After 6 hrs I got the thing together and did a function test. All seemed well. The trigger seemed great with my dry fire rounds but the true test was the range. Took it the next day, and well I be damned, it was night and day difference. Way less pre travel, crisp brack and super short audible reset. I was a good shot before but now I’m a great shot. Groups were just amazing. I put 12 rounds in a 3-4 inch group on a hostage takers head on a hostage target at 15 yards with my carry from stand and fire with no brace. That’s pretty damn awesome. Honestly couldn’t stop smiling shooting it. My girl who isn’t the best shot was noticeably improved with it too. Do yourself a favor and buy this. Don’t think about it just do it. (though if I went back and time I would have paid the gun smith to do it to forgo the headache). That being said I have a much more intimate knowledge with my guns FCU. So maybe I still would have done it myself.

I originally bought an OEM flat trigger and the MCARBO spring kit for my 365. The trigger was garbage as there was entirely too much slack before you hit the wall, but was pretty clean after that. This new trigger took up 85-90% of that play. I hate having lots of slack in my pistol triggers and this solved that. It does feel (just my opinion, not backed by science) there is a little more play after you hit the wall with this trigger versus the OEM one; but the wall is almost instant. Having this trigger with the trigger kit really made this pistol a lot better. I did have some light strikes with the MCARBO striker spring installed, but that very well could have been the ammo. Overall, solid trigger with a great feel and pull. Definitely pairs well with the spring kit. My only "negative" for the trigger is the set screw installs at a really wonky angle and it was somewhat difficult to really dial it in. I got it as close to the point of not firing as I could, but there isn't much of a gap when you get down to that level between the gun firing or not. Not really a negative, but it was interesting that was the first time I dealt with such a finicky set screw. I have several other pistols that have set screws and was able to really dial it in down to the razor's edge. Didn't seem like I was able to do that with this trigger.

Absolutely Worth It!!

I ordered the MCarbo P365 Short Stroke Flat Trigger to replace my Sig OEM flat trigger after reading recommendations from multiple online forums. The trigger was on back order at the time I ordered it, so I had to wait a few months, but once my order was processed and shipped out I received the new trigger and spring kit in only 3 days time so I was very happy with that! The quality in this trigger is undeniable! I received several installation video links included in the shipment status emails I received from MCarbo. As recommended, I watched the video once so I could see the whole installation process from start to finish. I then watched the video a second time as I went through the trigger and spring kit installation. The tolerances on the trigger are tight enough that it took a bit of patience getting everything to fit together properly, but once assembled I can say this is a whole new pistol! I have shorter stubby fingers and the angle of the OEM flat trigger made the trigger length so long it was hard to get proper finger placement on the trigger without having to fish for it. The shorter take up on the MCarbo trigger took care of that. I get perfect finger placement on the trigger every time now. With the adjustment of the overtravel set screw, now the trigger pull and reset feels almost identical to the Apex tactical trigger I have installed on my Glock 19. I am extremely happy with this purchase!!

Adjustable over travel is sweet!

I have two of these triggers; one for the X Macro and one for the XL which I also put in an X Macro frame. I love that you can adjust the over travel screw to zero over travel. Follow the instructions. I actually screw the set screw in a little more, then when installing it, the trigger won’t fire. Then I can back the screw out until it fires, then a half turn more out to ensure it will fire. This leaves no over travel at all. It’s amazing and to say it’s an improvement over the stock trigger is such an understatement. There is no comparison as this trigger is how it should have been done to begin with. It certainly improves accuracy with the short travel of this trigger. I frequently practice 50 yard shots at 6 and 8” steel plates. With the stock trigger I could hit maybe 3 out of 10 shots. With this trigger, I’m hitting an average 7 out of 10 shots at that range on those little targets. Don’t waste your money on the other triggers. I’ve been shooting for over 50 years now and I’m impressed with this one. That doesn’t happen often with triggers on carry guns and for this price!?!? It’s like putting a competition trigger on your carry gun.

Almost as good as the Grayguns adjustable trigger

The trigger installs and works well. It is nice to have the over-travel adjustment. The stroke doesn't look or feel any less than my Grayguns triggers. To be really great it should have a take-up adjustment .

Almost there ...

This is "0" stars until the milling is finished. Once corrected, I anticipate a 5 star review. It has taken a bit of troubleshooting to identify the issue with my P365 flat trigger. As you can see from the image of the stock P365 trigger and the M*CARBO trigger, "this" M*CARBO trigger is missing the notch that allows the trigger to move all the way forward. If the trigger cannot go all the way forward, the safety lever sits "proud" blocking the slide during re-assembly. I am looking forward to M*CARBO honoring their warranty.

Okay, I have to say that I am seriously impressed with the quality of this product. It is so much slimmer then the Sig official flat trigger. From the picture you question how tough it is. It is actually really really solid and I am extremely impressed with it. Pretty and solid. Be careful while adjusting the screw. Small changes make a massive difference.
