American made innovation is what I think of when I think of KelTec. They definitely are filling a niche that is truly their own. Why oh why do their triggers always fall short? Long gritty pull and a trigger that is made of plastic…..I do love them anyway.

Enter MCarbo. The answer to all things that is missing in these otherwise excellent guns. I own several KelTecs and the first thing I do after adding another KelTec to my collection is immediately buy a trigger and spring from our Brothers at MCarbo. Fixed.

I put this trigger in both my KSG and KS7 along with the spring kit. Night and day difference. Shortened cleaner break and the plastic trigger is replaced by a very comfortable aluminum design.

MCarbo is also one of the absolute best companies to deal with. I just wish they sold everything as I would probably just opt to buy my entire shooting needs from them. Great products from a great company.

Best upgrade I've added to my KS7. Breaks like glass with no creep. Trigger pull feels like half. Thanks guys for a well thought out piece of gear.

Love the trigger, hated the installation

I only installed the trigger, no spring kit, but I still love it. The metal trigger makes the KS7 feel just that much better, and having no pre-travel is really nice. Installation was a nightmare, but that is mostly my fault. I watched the KSG trigger installation video, and thought there was a part in the re-assembly I could do better than the video, which proved to be very wrong. Just follow the steps in the video and itll be easy, may take some time but still an easy install. Well worth the money.

Massive Improvement! A must upgrade for KS7/KSG owners!

I was looking to upgrade my KS7 lower and came across M*CARBO video on YouTube for target trigger upgrade. I was immediately impressed with the high quality machined aluminum trigger which is a must replacement for the plastic factory trigger. So I purchased both trigger and spring kit! Beside every upgrades/accessories available out there for KS7, this is the best upgrade hands down alone side with my Howitzer70 KS7 Muzzle Brake!

Do your KS7 justice! Get this trigger upgrade from M*CARBO and feel the difference in trigger pull, accuracy and real improvement in performance over all! Much Respect! to Chris and the M*CARBO team for making upgrades that makes a difference!!!

Nice part but very tricky to install

The trigger is really nice and works great. I love the take-up adjustment and the break is pretty nice now and the whole assembly feels really solid. I did not upgrade my trigger or sear springs; a 3.5lb trigger on a shotgun doesn't sound like a great idea to me so I stuck with the stock springs. The trigger design is slightly different from stock in how it captures the trigger spring (it only supports it on one side) so a little bit of head scratching was required to get proper tension on the trigger spring.

The install was very tricky but most of it was just figure out how things work. The instruction video is useful but you have no chance of completing it if you follow it to the letter. The big issue is that reassembling the lower under full hammer spring tension is impossible. The pins for the trigger and the hammer bar are under so much strain there is no way to coax them into their holes on the other half of the lower.

I assembled the lower within the hammer spring under tension and you just have to be careful to make sure the sear is resting on the top of the hammer bar and doesn't pop down when reassembling. Same for the trigger snap catch on the safety. You have to be very careful to keep everything lined up and in place and then a small but of pressure on the hammer bar pin will get it aligned and it will pop in. It took me several hours and many attempts until I finally gave up on the video method and figured out a better way. So my advice is to understand how all the parts work together and then reassemble without having tension on the hammer bar.

I have done lots of upgrades, trigger jobs etc. on my 1911, Glocks, ARs and this was the hardest, most frustrating job I have ever undertaken but patience will get you there in the end. Well worth the effort. Look forward to seeing a few more upgrades from M*Carbo!

I cannot recommend this upgrade unless you are an above average do it yourself to a skilled gun smith. My KS7 lower is now in pieces and most likely will have to go to my local gun smith to have him install the trigger. It is not as simple as it looks in the video, video is misleading as this was not his first time installing this trigger. Needs to have some sort of warning of like "hey I did this 100 times and that is why it looks so easy". Again stay away unless you are an above average DIY or skilled gun smith.

It made a world of difference from the factory to the Mcarbo trigger. Trigger pull was cut in half and as smooth as any trigger I have had installed in other guns that I have owned. Thanks for putting out a TOP QUALITY product.

This review is for the trigger and spring kit. Makes no sense to do one without the other! Trigger has no takeup and an excellent let off for a bull pup. I've done two other Kel-tecs, so had some experience, or so I thought.

I followed the video carefully and had everything go wrong on reassembly. That pesky slide release spring (SRS) was one culprit. THe other was the forward hammer spring pin (HSP). While trying to push it into place (part way together) the srs would make its way out--several times. Workaround was to use fine wire thru the srs aound the entire lever and twist off on the backside. Once done I was able to focus on getting the hsp pushed into its mating location on the opposite half. Other workarounds included taping the spacer in place, and found a tape roll with just the right diameter to hold the cocked hammer in place; much neater than taping! It took over 10 tries, but I finally got it together. I was not going to let this thing beat me!

I hope others can benefit from my experience.

Combine this with the MCARBO trigger spring kit and you have a great upgrade to your KS7. It feels great and the trigger pull is reduced to a reasonable level. Do yourself a favor though, have Kel Tec install it for the $40. I'm fairly handy but my KSG would not go back together like they show in the video. After 10 tried, I sent it to Kel Tec and had in back in a few weeks.

Great trigger and spring kit, it is like I bought a new gun. Love it.

The install takes some time to study the instructions , get all your tools together and turn off any annoying sounds. It took me about four hours including looking for the famous little spring . I also bought two 2 inch spring clamps and used them to hold the halves together at various times, like having someone helping you. On my gun the Trigger pull was 5 lbs which I like on this kind of gun/
