Description

KEL-TEC SUB-2000 Rear Tactical Folding Sights

Upgrade from the stock, shorter plastic rear sight that restricts your field of view, especially when using optics. Introducing our taller, combat-ready, CNC-machined rear sight made from 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum. This rear sight is .060" taller than the original and features a precision-engineered wider aperture for swift target acquisition and enhanced accuracy.

Designed for versatility, the rotating lever is ambidextrous, accommodating both right-handed and left-handed shooters. Whether you're using a red dot or other optics, this rear sight effortlessly folds out of the way. Switching between optic and iron sights is a breeze, needing just a flick of a finger.

Experience a clear sight picture with our broader peep sight aperture and pistol-style notch sight. The enhanced .170" peep sight aperture, an upgrade from the original .120", ensures quicker target acquisition, especially in close combat, moving target situations, or low-light conditions.

This sight is compatible with both Gen 1 and Gen 2 SUB-2000 models. Despite being taller than the original sight, it does not interfere with the SUB-2000's folding feature. When unfolding the SUB-2000, the sight remains folded. For a secure fit, we recommend applying Blue 242 Loctite to the screws.

A minor re-zeroing and height adjustment to your front sight post may be required after installation. This adjustment will be within the operating parameters of the stock front sight.

Please Note: The original "auto pop feature" was removed to allow the sight to fold independently of the SUB-2000 folding mechanism. While the factory sight folds only when the SUB-2000 is folded, our sight can be folded when using a red dot. The new sight doesn't have the auto pop feature to ensure user control. However, with the correct tension adjustments and the application of Loctite, the sight can deploy automatically.

Can hardly wait to get to the range.
review-star review-star review-star review-star review-star
Just installed the rear peep sight onto my Gen 2. The installation video really helped and everything fit together perfectly. One thing I noticed is that not only is the new sight higher, but the larger aperture is wide enough that I can see both wings on either side of the front sight. Now I just have to wait for a day for the Loctite to set so I can get to the range. Great job!

Great upgrade on the Sub 2000
review-star review-star review-star review-star review-star
I just finished installing the rear folding notch sight for the sub 2000. The installation was easy and quick. The videos were very helpful guides to the process. I took my 9mm sub 2000 to my local range and was amazed at how much easier it was to acquire a sight picture with the taller rear sight. It was easy to shoot tighter groups and not have to struggle with the OEM sight picture.
I've made several of the internal upgrades offered through M-Carbo and this was the best one for improving the usefulness of the weapon. Thanks!

Easy install, hard to rotate
review-star review-star review-star review-star review-star
Just installed my new tactical folding sight. It is super easy to install and the videos are very easy to follow. My only challenge has been trying to get the tension just right for the sight. It seems like it is either too loose and doesn't feel like the screw is snug, or the screw it tight and the sight will hardly rotate. Once I get that perfected, it will be a 5 star. It is way easier to see and acquire the target than with the factory sights.
Big improvement over stock sights
review-star review-star review-star review-star review-star
I got the notch version. Its metal instead of plastic. Thats a plus. Went in pretty easy and had to spend a couple minutes getting the tension right. The video helped a lot. A big improvement in getting a sign picture. I used to have to scrunch my face down low tighly against the gun to get alignment. Literally a pain in the neck. Now so much easier.

Question:
Have not had my 2000 to the range yet but equipped it with a red dot site w/ side folding mount. I also removed my rear site. But I’d like to have the option to use the open sites. As this site it taller, will the upward adjustment required on the front site block my red dot as to render it useless? I realize I have to sight in the optic sight but I do not want to spend the money and time to buy the flip up site if it will. Thx

The rear sight should open and sit up automatically when you unfold the rifle, however, on occasion with a newly installed part, you may need to manually flip up the rear sight a couple times to ensure the fit is not too tight preventing it from flipping up.
